After initial training, the Private Utility Locator/SUE Field Technician will be assigned to worksites to conduct utility locating for surface, subsurface, and aerial utilities and structures. Private Utility Locators/SUE Technicians are responsible for the correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities including, but not limited to, telecommunications, electric, power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. This includes taking time to thoroughly search for underground utilities and following proper marking guidelines.
